RAMBAN, May 8: Police here today arrested a smuggler and recovered illicit liquor from his possession.
PSI Vinod Kumar Saini along with cops during traffic checking duty apprehended one Guddu Parsad, son of Mehandra Prasad, resident of Narsinghpur Patra in Jharkhand at present employee at Rahee Company Dharam Sangaldan, Ramban.
During his search 11 bottles of Oakland JK Special Whiskey of 750 ml each, 1 bottle of Old Monk Rum 750 ml, 1 bottle of Royal Stag Whiskey 750 ml, 3 cans of Kingfisher Beer 500 ml each and 2 bottles of Kingfisher bottles 650 ml each were recovered.
An FIR with No. 19/2023 U/S 48(a) Excise Act was registered at Police Station Dharamkund in this regard and investigation entrusted to PSI Kanwaljit Singh.
The recovery was made by the team led by Inspector Manoj Sharma, SHO Dharamkund under the supervision of Nihar Ranjan, SDPO Gool under the overall supervision of SSP Ramban, Mohita Sharma.
