RAMBAN, Nov 5: In its drive against the sale of illicit liquor launched on the directions of SSP Ramban, Mohita Sharma, Police here today arrested a bootlegger and recovered illicit liquor from his possession.
The bootlegger has been identified as Mangtulla, son of Shamshu Din, resident of Govindpura, Ramban.
Cops from Police Station Chanderkote comprising SHO Chanderkote under the supervision of Dy.SP Hqrs Ramban and Additional SP Ramban while on patrolling duty near Boom, Chanderkote arrested the bootlegger who was illegally selling liquor.
A case in FIR No. 137/2023 U/S 48 (f) Excise Act has been registered at Police Station Chanderkote in this regard and investigation started.
