REASI, Apr 30: The police arrested one persons and recovered 15 liters of illicit liquor and 55 litres of lahan from his possession in Thakrakote area of Reasi district today.
Official sources said that acting on a specific information, Arnas police came to know that one person namely- Kako Ram, son of Lenu, resident of Bandhar, Panassa , tehsil Thakrakote, Reasi is indulging in the business of distillation and selling of illicit liquor at village Bandhar, Panassa of district Reasi.
On this, police party from Police Station, Arnas conducted raid and recovered 15 litres of illicit liquor and 55 litres of Lahan from his house. On seeing police party, the accused person Kako Ram tried to escape from the spot but got arrested after hectic efforts of Police.
In this regards an FIR No. 31/2021 US 48(a)/50 Excise Act was registered at Police Station Arnas and investigation initiated.
