RAMBAN, Apr 12: Police here today arrested a man with 7 grams of contraband (heroin).
Under the overall supervision of SSP Ramban, Kulbir Singh, cops during a routine checking signalled a pedestrian to stop but he tried to flee.
Acting swiftly cops overpowered him and during his search Heroin like substance weighing 7 grams was recovered.
The drug peddler was identified as Abdul Rashid alias Shidu, resident of Govindpura, Maitra, District Ramban.
In this regard, Police has registered a case in FIR No. 65 of 2025 under Section 08/21/22 NDPS Act at Police Station Ramban and started investigation.
