UDHAMPUR, May 8: One person was held today with 20 grams of heroin like substance in the jurisdiction of Police Station Udhampur.
“A police team led by Inspector Chaman Gorkha (SHO Police Station Udhampur) during routine naka checking duty on Circular Road near main bazar Udhampur noticed the movement of one suspicious person namely Abdul Yaqoob son of Dulla of Sadhote (Udhampur),” police sources said.
They said the suspect was intercepted for checking and during search, 20 grams of heroin (chitta) was recovered from his possession. “The accused was arrested on the spot and a case vide FIR number 202/2022 U/S 8/21/22/ NDPS Act was registered at Police Station Udhampur after which investigation was set into motion,” sources added.
