JAMMU, June 25: Paaca Danga Police today nabbed a drug peddler along with 850 ampoules of a psychotropic substance.
“A team of Police Station Pacca Danga led by SDPO North Sunil Kumar Kesar and assisted by SHO Pacca Danga Inspector Sushil Kumar while on naka duty at Manda Naka rounded up a suspected person who was coming on his vehicle bearing registration number JK02CE-2485 from Nagrota side,” a Police spokesman said.
He said during search, 850 ampoules of Diazepam injections (of 2 ml each) were recovered from the accused identified as Mohit Sharma son of Madan Lal, resident of Kandoli (Nagrota), near Tehsil office.
“In this regard, a case FIR Number 81/2023 u/s 8/21/22/NDPS Act was registered at Police Station Pacca Danga and the accused arrested,” the spokesman said, adding, further investigation of the case was going on.
