JAMMU, Nov 23: A man was injured in clash at Brij Nagar area, falling under the jurisdiction of Miran Sahib police station. However, acting swiftly, police arrested the accused and also recovered the weapon used in the offence.
As per police sources, Deepak Sharma, son of Satpal of Brij Nagar along with his two cousins was heading towards his house, when Vicky Sharma, son of Chuni Lal, resident of same area in drunken condition assaulted Deepak Sharma and also attacked him with sharp edged weapon.
On getting information, police rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where he was responding to the treatment, when reports last came in.
Meanwhile, acting swiftly police arrested the accused and also recovered the weapon used in the offence.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Miran Sahib police station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Miran Sahib police station SI Mohammad Iqbal Chagatta made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Devinder Singh and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
