JAMMU, Mar 1: A youth was injured today in an assault case in Kanachak area of city outskirts.
According to a police spokesperson, the youth identified as Amit Kumar (18) son of Kewal Krishan, a resident of Lalyal Camp (Kanachak), was going on his tractor when three youths identified as Randu, Bhagu and Showkat Ali, intercepted him, snatched an amount of Rs 2000 from him and then thrashed him badly.
He said in the attack, the victim suffered head injury and was immediately rushed to hospital for treatment.
In this connection, a case under relevant Sections was registered at police station Kanachak and efforts were on to nab the accused persons, who were on the large.
