The injured has been referred to the Government Medical College & Hospital in Jammu after first aid. Additional SP, Surinder Chaudhary, who reached District Hospital Samba, said that a person was injured after the mysterious blast and was brought to District Hospital Samba for treatment from where he was referred to the Jammu after first aid.
A case has been registered and efforts are being made to gather information about how the blast happened and how old the shell was and where it came from. It may be noted that a few months before this, a young boy had died due to a mysterious blast in the same village while another was injured.
There is also an Army firing range near the village and many shells do not explode during practice, after which this accident occurs. Earlier, the local villagers had protested and lodged a complaint with the district administration, but even after that this trend continues.
According to the villagers, many such accidents have taken place before and many people have lost their lives while some have also become disabled. In such a situation, the district administration should shift this firing range and protect the life and property of the local people.
