JAMMU, July 22: One person was killed and one another injured in a road accident in Gandhi Nagar area of city outskirts.
According to police sources, an Innova car hit a scooty in Gandhi Nagar area and seriously injured its rider and pillion.
The injured persons were identified as Bablu Kumar (24) son of Baldev Kumar and Manoj Kumar (28) son of Dina Nath, both residents of Valmiki Colony (Gandhi Nagar, Jammu), were immediately rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where Manoj was declared as brought dead by the doctors.
“Bablu is responding to the treatment,” sources said, adding the dead body of Manoj was shifted to mortuary room of GMC Jammu for postmortem while a case in this connection was registered at Police Station Gandhi Nagar and investigation started.
