JAMMU:
One person was killed while 10 others got injured when an under constructed house collapsed today in a remote village of Udhampur district.
The incident occurred when roof was being laid on a house and it collapsed, police here said adding that a team of doctors and ambulance was rushed by the district administration for the immediate treatment of the hurt.
The deceased was identified as Vijay Kumar, son of Ishwar Das. Deputy Commissioner Udhampur requisitioned helicopter for airlifting the three seriously injured however due to the bad weather, the possibility of landing was ruled out owing to which the injured people were shifted to Chenani in the evening.
District administration provided relief from Red Cross to next of kin of dead and the injured. (AGENCIES)
