One killed, 10 injured in road mishaps

JAMMU, Nov 25: One person was killed while ten others injured in road accidents in three different mishaps.
As per reports, a person identified as Manoj Singh, son of Nasib Singh of Toph Sherkhania was seriously injured after being hit by an unknown vehicle at Toph Sherkhania. He was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where doctors pronounced him as brought dead.
The body has been kept in the mortuary room of GMC Hospital for post mortem, while, a case under relevant Sections has been registered at concerned police station and investigation started.
In another incident, eight passengers were injured, when the mini-bus they were traveling in, turned turtle near Sotrachak area of tehsil Hiranagar in district Kathua.
The ill-fated mini-bus bearing registration number JKO8-8642, was on its way to Bamyal from Chadwal, when it met with an accident. Negligence driving was the reason behind the accident, resulting into injuries to eight passengers
The injured identified as Din Sadiq, son of Poya Sadiq, Mithu Sadiq, son of Fau Sadiq and Arun, son of Jagdish, all residents of Bihar, Neeta Devi, wife of Ashok Singh of Chadwal, Kanta Devi, wife of Roshan Singh of Masda, Punjab, Raj, wife of Labhu Ram and Gano Devi, wife of Panto Ram, both residents of Tetliya, Punjab and Radha Kumar, son of Shiv Kumar of Bamyal, Punjab, were shifted to District Hospital Kathua, where their condition was stated to be stable, when last reports came in.
A case has been registered and manhunt was launched to arrest the absconding driver identified as Manoj Kumar, son of Parmanand of Hiranagar, who fled from the spot soon after the accident.
Meanwhile, two persons were injured when the cement-loaded tractor (JKO8A- 7275) they were traveling on, was hit by a passenger bus (UP30A-7000) at Bagyal area of district Kathua.
The duo identified as Naveen Kumar, son of Japat Singh and Pardeep Kumar Sharma, son of Chater Sharma, both residents of Bihar, at present, Naveen Cement factory, were shifted to District Hospital Kathua where their condition was stated to be out of danger, when last reports poured in.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at concerned Police Station and investigation started.
