One killed, 11 injured in road accidents

JAMMU, Apr 9: One person was killed, while 11 others were injured in road accidents.
As per reports, an elderly person identified as 70-year-old Mukhtayar Singh, son of Devi Singh of Nouni, Hiranagar was traveling in a bus bearing registration number JK08-6857, when he accidentally fall from it and received serious injuries.
He was rushed to district hospital, Samba, from where he was later referred to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), but he succumbed to his injuries on the way.
Police has taken the cognizance.
In another incident, 11 persons were injuries when the tata mobile they were traveling in, met with an accident near Chamalwas, tehsil Banihal, district Ramban.
The ill-fated vehicle bearing registration number JK22-4661, was on its way from Kalakote to Srinagar, when it met with an accident resulting into injuries to 11 persons.
On getting information, police and locals rushed to the spot, started rescue operation and shifted the injured to sub-district hospital, Banihal.
Later, three of them identified as driver Mohd Aslam, Rubina, daughter of Mohd Altaf and Sakeena Begum, wife of Mohd Sadiq were referred to Sher-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS), Srinagar for advance treatment.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered and further investigation into the case is going on.
