RAMBAN, Mar 23: One person was killed, while two others were injured in the areas falling under the jurisdiction of Ramsoo Police Station.
As per police sources, a Swift car skidded off the road and plunged into 250 feet deep gorge near Shallgadi Maligam, resulting into serious injuries to the driver.
The profusely bleeding victim was rushed to Primary Health Centre (PHC) Ukhral, where doctors declared him as brought dead.
After completing medical and legal formalities, the body of the deceased identified as Pankaj Singh (33), son of Ram Singh of Dessa district Doda has been handed over to family members for last rites.
Meanwhile, a tanker bearing registration number JK05C-4946 was on its way from Srinagar to Jammu, when its driver lost control over it and fell into Bisleri nallah near Hingni bridge, causing injuries to two persons.
The injured identified as Abdul Latief (driver), son of Ghulam Hussain and Mohammad Arif, son of Ghulam Mohammad, both residents of Pampore, Srinagar were rushed to Primary Health Centre (PHC) Ukhral, where their condition was stated to be stable, when last reports came in.
Cases under relevant Sections have been registered at Ramsoo Police Station and investigation started.
