One killed, 2 injured in road accidents

KATHUA, Nov 3: One person died while two others were injured in two separate road accidents in Kathua district today.
Police said two persons were injured after their motorbike was hit by a car which was without number near a petrol pump on Jammu-Pathankote National Highway in Barnoti area near here. However the car fled after the accident leaving the two youth in pool of blood.
The injured identified as Parshotam Dass, 45, alias Papi S/o Bishan Dass of Narote Pathankote and Ram Kumar 23, S/o Pritam also a resident of Narote in Pathankote, Punjab. The duo was shifted by the local people to Kathua hospital where Parshotam succumbed to his injuries and Ram Kumar is still under treatment.
The Kathua police has registered a case under relevant Sections of the law in this regard and started a man hunt for the car and its driver who is evading arrest.
In another case one motor cyclist was injured seriously after his bike was hit by an auto bearing number JK08 B21226 at Hatli More near here opposite to a hotel.  The injured has been identified as Rohit S/o Haresh of Barnoti. He received multiple injuries and was taken to Amritsar in Punjab by his family for treatment. The auto driver has been identified as Divinder. The motor cyclist was on way from Barnoti to Lakhanpur.
Hatli Morh Police has registered a case in this regard.
