One killed, 22 injured in different accidents

SRINAGAR, Apr 9: One person died while as 22 others were injured in separate road accidents across Kashmir valley.
Reports said that an unidentified vehicle hit and injured a pedestrian Ghulam Qadir Dar, aged about 60 years, son of Mohammad Sultan resident of Raki Chark, Batamaloo near Sabzi Mandi opposite Tattoo ground, Batmaloo. The injured was shifted to SKIMS-Soura for treatment where he succumbed to his injuries. A case has been registered in this regard.
A 407 vehicle JK03/4750 skidded off the road at Matergam, Kulgam, resulting in injuries to 10 passengers. All the injured were shifted to hospital for treatment where their condition is reported to be stable.
A Tavera JK03C/3392 carrying tourists of Kolkata on way from Pahalgam to Chandanwari turned turtle near Chandanwari, resulting in injuries to eight tourists. The injured were shifted to Pahalgam Hospital for treatment, where from one woman Impa Nag, ages about 44 years, wife of Sajeet Nag resident of Kolkata was referred to Bone and Joints Hospital, Barzulla for further treatment.
A school mini-bus JK05/0373 collided with a Maruti Car bearing registration number JK04B/8264 at Kachmatipora, Kunzer, resulting in injuries to the Maruti Car driver Naveed Ahmed Mir son of Ghulam Mohammad resident of Kachmatipora. The injured has been shifted to hospital for treatment. A case has been registered in this regard.
A Tata Sumo JK09/4560 hit and injured two pedestrians Zeba Begum, aged about 50 years wife of Abdul Jabbar Malla resident of Shart Gund, Payeen and a baby Bazala age about four  years daughter of Mohammad Maqbool Ganie resident of Wal Raman Shanoo near Kulangam, Handwara. Both the injured have been shifted to Chogal Hospital for treatment. A case has been registered in this regard.
A Tata Sumo JK05A/1259 hit and injured a pedestrian Shoaib Akhter Mir age about eight years son of Ghulam Hassan resident of Kawa Mohalla at Wavoora, Sogam. The injured has been shifted to Sogam Hospital for treatment. A case has been registered in this regard.
