POONCH/ RAJOURI, Oct 4: One person was crushed to death under a bus in Mandi area of Poonch while three persons were injured when a truck met with an accident near Sunderbani early today.
Official sources said that 65-year- old Mohd Bashir, son of Habeeb, resident of Pindi village was crushed under the rear wheels of a bus No. JK02B/ 1147 when he was boarding off the vehicle from front door. The driver moved the bus ahead while he was in the door and fell down on the road. He came under the ear weels and was killed on the spot.
The police seized the bus while driver managed to escape from the spot. A case has been registered in this connection.
Three persons were injured when a truck loaded with walnuts was turned turtle near Rah Salyot forest check post between Sunderbani and Nowshera during wee hours today. It was on way to Delhi from Kashmir. The injured identified as 38-year old driver Bashir Ahmed, son of Abdul Rashid from Shopian and two helpers Mudasir Ahmed ( 20) and Mohd Sayed (22), both residents of Shopian were shifted to Sunderbani hospital and then to GMC hospital Jammu.
