Srinagar, Mar 4: Police today said a person was killed while three others were injured in separate road accidents in Valley and Leh.
A police spokesman said a motorcycle driven by Aijaz Ahmad Bhat hit and injure a pedestrian namely Ghulam Rasool Malik at Gushi in Hatmulla area of Kupwara district. “The injured was shifted to District Hospital, Kupwara for treatment where he succumbed to his injuries. After completion of medico-legal formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites,” he said, adding that a case has been registered in this regard.
The spokesman said a Load Carrier bearing registration number JK18-7214 driven by Irfan Ahmad Bahroo hit and injure a pedestrian namely Ghulam Mohi-ud-din Sheikh at Qaimoh in Kulgam district. “The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment. Police have registered a case in this regard,” he said.
The spokesman said a Scorpio vehicle bearing registration number JK10-5099 driven by Sonam Angchok collided with an A-Star vehicle bearing registration number JK10-6427 driven by Chamba Kunphel at Shey Yokma in Leh district, resulting in injuries to both the drivers. “Both the injured were shifted to SNM Hospital Leh for treatment. Police have registered a case in this regard,” he added.
