UDHAMPUR, Aug 28: A youth died and his three friends were injured when a van, they were travelling in, rolled down in a deep gorge at Sankari road in Panchari area.
The Ecco van, bearing registration number JK14D-9879, was on its way from Sankari to Mir when it met with accident near Sankari and rolled down about 90 feet deep gorge, this morning. Police and locals rushed to the spot and shifted the victims to District Hospital Udhampur where doctors declared one of them as brought dead and referred two critically injured persons to GMC Hospital Jammu.
The deceased was identified as Jarnal Singh (25), son of Kartar Singh of Narod Panchari. The injured were identified as Pawan Singh (32), son of Shankar Singh, Karan Singh (28) son of Khajoor Singh and Anil Sharma (25), son of Madan Lal, all resident of Mir in Panchari Tehsil.
