One killed, 3 injured in road mishaps

REASI, May 28: A pedestrian was knocked to death by a speeding Scorpio car in Pouni area while two women among three persons were seriously injured when an E-rickshaw turned turtle at Reasi-Sula road, here today.
Reports said that a pedestrian was killed when he was hit by a Scorpio car in Bharakh area of Pouni. The deceased was identified as Paramjeet Singh, age 58 years, son of Late Lakhbir Singh, resident of Bharakh Pouni, who was hit by the Scorpio car, bearing registration number UP78GW-2581, which was going towards Shiv Khori with UP based pilgrims.
The injured was shifted to PHC Bharakh from where he was referred to District Hospital Reasi where he succumbed to his injuries during treatment. Police have arrested driver of the car, identified as Sunil Jain, son of Jai Kumar Jain of Kanpur UP and registered a case in this connection.
Meanwhile, two women among three persons were seriously injured when an E-Rickshaw turned turtle on Reasi – Sulla Park road, here today. The injured were shifted to District Hospital Reasi where two of them were referred to GMC Hospital Jammu for advanced treatment.
The injured were identified as Mumtaz Bibi, age 34 years, wife of Arshad Ali, resident of Gran Morh, Reasi; Mumtaz Akhtar, age 20 years, wife of Ishfaq Ahmed, resident of Mari, Reasi and Mohd Ishtiaq, age 17 years, son of Gulam Haider, resident of Mari, Reasi. After first aid treatment at District Hospital Reasi, Mohd Ishtiyaq and Mumtaz Akhtar were referred to GMC Hospital Jammu.
