One killed, 3 injured in two road accidents

JAMMU, July 30: One person was killed and three others injured today in two separate road accidents in city outskirts.
According to police sources, a truck loaded with dried fodder which was on its way from Jammu to Mathwar rolled down the road this morning at Aghore-Mathwar Road.
“In the mishap, the driver and his two associates received serious injuries,” sources said, adding they were immediately rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where one of them namely Arun Singh (25) son of Balbinder, resident of Harike (Tarn Taran) was declared as brought dead by the doctors.
They said other two injured persons namely Sajan (23) son of Mukhtar Singh and Waryam Singh (25) son of Dilbhag Singh, both residents of Harike (Tarn Taran, Amritsar) were responding to the treatment. A case has been registered in this connection and investigation started by Gharota Police.
In another road accident, a 40-year-old woman namely Shabina wife of Dil Mohd, resident of Nagrota, suffered critical injuries when a speeding auto hit her at Nagrota bypass. She was rushed to GMCH Jammu for medical treatment and her condition was stated to be critical till the last reports came in. Nagrota Police had taken cognizance of the matter.
Meanwhile, a truck loaded with some goods overturned under the jurisdiction of Police Station Bagh-e-Bahu. However, nobody was hurt in the mishap.
