One killed , 3 injured in road accidents

KATHUA, Dec 9: One person died while three others were injured in two separate road accidents in Kathua district today.
According to police one lady was killed and two others were injured after a bus bearing registration number JK02C 0097 hit a motor cycle at village Logate More near Kathua on Jammu -Pathankot National Highway today.
The deceased has been identified as Pooja Devi, wife of Makhan Verma of village Kathera in district Kathua.
Police said her husband Makhan Verma, son of Ram Chand who was driving the bike and his daughter Mani were injured in the accident.
The trio were first taken to District Hospital Kathua where seeing their condition critical, the doctors referred them to Government Medical College Hospital (GMCH), Jammu for treatment. However Pooja succumbed to her injures in the GMC later while the father and daughter duo are undergoing treatment in the Hospital but their condition is also stated to be serious.
The driver of the bus fled after accident but the vehicle was seized by Kathua Police. Kathua Police has registered a case under Section 279 RPC against the driver.
In another accident an unknown motorcyclist hit a pedestrian at village Palli More near Kathua today injuring her.
She has been identified as Palvi of village Dhani Bakhta. She was rushed to district Hospital Kathua for treatment. The Kathua police has registered a case under relevant sections of the law.
