JAMMU, Sept 23: A man was killed while three others were injured in separate road mishaps in city outskirts.
According to a police spokesman, a man identified as Shahnawaj (35) son of Adil Ahmed, resident of Suketar, got serious injuries after he was hit by a Tata Mobile at Suketar area falling within the jurisdiction of police station Jhajjar Kotli, late last night.
“The injured was immediately rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu, where he succumbed to his injuries after some time”, the spokesman said, adding, after conducting post mortem the body of the deceased was today handed over to his legal heirs for last rites.
Two persons identified as Sanjay Moza (60) son of Girdhan Moza, resident of Trikuta Nagar and Devinder Sharma son of Joginderpal Sharma, residents of Ward No 1, Bishnah, were injured when a scooty collided with a bike at Marble Market, Channi. Both injured were shifted to GMCH Jammu for treatment.
A 5-year-old boy identified as Rahul son of Kabir Dass, resident of Channi Rama, got injured when a bike hit him near Army gate at Channi Rama. The injured boy was shifted to GMCH for treatment.
In all cases, the concerned police have taken cognizance.
