KATHUA, Oct 30: One person got killed and six others received injuries in road accidents at Katli and Pattli Morh areas.
As per police reports, a Mahindra pick up van hit a tractor trolley from back side in which one person received head injuries and died on the spot, while two others got injured.
The deceased has been identified as Anant Singh, son of Mohginder Singh of Palli. The injured identified as Soot Ram and Ranjit Singh were rushed to District Hospital, where their condition was stated to be stable, when last reports came in.
A case has been registered at police station Kathua and manhunt has been launched to nab the drivers, who escaped from the spot leaving behind the vehicles.
Meanwhile, four persons received injuries, when the mini-bus they were travelling in turned turtle near Katli area, falling under the jurisdiction of Billawar police station. The accident took place due to negligent driving.
The injured were shifted to SDH Billawar, where their condition was stated to be out of danger, when last reports poured in.
The driver of the mini-bus identified as Surinder Singh has been arrested and a case against him has been registered at police station Billawar.
