One killed, 8 sheep die in accidents

SRINAGAR, May 22:  One person and eight sheep died in different road accidents across the Kashmir Valley today.
A police spokesperson said that an unidentified Tractor driven by Imtiyaz Ahmad Mir, of Mungam, Wagoora turned turtle near Chattipathri Baba Reshi, Baramulla, resulting in injuries to Irshad Ahmad Tantray, 18, son of Abdul Hamid, of Nagbal who was travelling on the tractor. The injured succumbed to his injuries on way to Tangmarg hospital. A case has been registered in this regard.
Eight sheep were killed when a Tipper bearing registration number JK02N/7929 ran over them near Medical Institute Dobiwan, Baramulla. The driver has been arrested and the vehicle seized. A case has been registered in this regard.
An unidentified Tata Sumo hit and injured a pedestrian Fayaz Ahmad Mir son of Mohammad Akbar of Habak Crossing, Nigeen at Kohnakhan, Dalgate near Dal Rim Hotel, Srinagar. The injured was shifted to JLMN Hospital Rainawari, Srinagar for treatment. A case has been registered in this regard.
A Tata Mobile JK16/012 driven by Abdul Hamid Sofi of Kanihama, Ganderbal hit and injured Bilal Ahmad Bhat son of Bashir Ahmad of Dangerpora, Ganderbal near J&K Bank, Ganderbal. The injured was shifted to District Hospital, Ganderbal for treatment, where from he was referred to SKIMS, Soura, Srinagar for further treatment. A case has been registered in this regard.
An Alto car JK01H/7847 with an accident at Nowhar Charar-e-Sharief, Budgam, resulting in injuries to four persons boarded in the car namely Shakeel Ahmad Kitas, 40, Mohammad Ashraf Kaw, 35, Abdul Rashid Bhat, 40, and Ghulam Mohammad Bhat, 60, of Charar-e-Sharief, Budgam. All the injured were shifted to SMHS Hospital, Srinagar for treatment. A case has been registered in this regard.
