One killed, 9 injured in road accidents

SRINAGAR, June 28: One person died while as nine others were injured in separate road accidents across the Kashmir valley.
Reports said that a Matador bearing registration number JK02/3246 driven by Ravi Sharma son of Bodh Raj, resident of Bari Brahmana, Jammu on way from Jammu to Srinagar, carrying Yatris was hit by an unknown vehicle at Drangbal-Pampore. The collision resulted in injuries to three yatris Dileep Banerjee, son of Amale Rathan Banerjee, Shiv Nath Kundroo, son of Hari Krishan and Gopal Adhikari son of Kishori Adhikari residents of West Bengal.
The injured were shifted to SKIMS Soura where Gopal Adhikari succumbed to his injuries while as the other two were later referred to Bone and Joint hospital, Barzulla for treatment. Police registered case in this regard.
A bus bearing registration number DL1PC/1400 while on way from Shalteng to Sumbal hit a Tata Sumo bearing registration number JK05/8229 at Khawajabagh-Maloora, resulting in injuries to four passengers boarding the Tata Sumo. The injured have been hospitalized.
A Tata Sumo bearing registration number JK05A/4420 driven by Ashiq Ahmad Khan resident of Boniyar collided with an Alto Car bearing registration number JK05C/4109 driven by Mohammad Sadiq Shah, resident of Naganari at Pahlipora, near Higher Secondary School, Boniyar, resulting in injuries to the Alto driver.
A motorcycle hit and injured 19 years old Anamika daughter of Dileep Singh resident of Kanlibagh at Kanlibagh, Baramulla. The injured girl was shifted to District Hospital, Baramulla where from she has been referred to SKIMS Soura, Srinagar for further treatment.
A Maruti Car bearing registration number JK09/6924 while on way from Kupwara to Trehgam hit and injured a motorcyclist, Ghulam Hussan Khawaja resident of Zurhama at Tikker, Kupwara. The injured was shifted to the hospital for treatment.
