REASI, Jan 3: One person died while another was seriously injured when a truck, in which they were travelling, rolled down into a deep gorge near Makhan Morh on Khanikote – Sawalkote road.
The deceased was identified as Romesh Kumar, age around 21 years, son of Krishan Lal (Gusha), resident of Dhanour, tehsil Arnas, district Reasi. He reportedly died on the spot while injured, identified as Jagdish Singh, son of Kartar Singh, resident of Simbal Camp RS Pura district Jammu, was shifted to District Hospital Reasi for treatment.
The accident took place this morning when the truck skidded off the road and plunged into deep gorge while somersaulting several times. Police with the help of locals shifted the victims to hospital where doctors declared one of them as brought dead.
