JAMMU, Apr 6: One person was killed while another injured today in two separate incidents of electrocution in city and its outskirts.
According to a police spokesperson, a labourer identified as Anil Lama (55) son of Ganesh Lama, a resident of Nepal, at present living in Channi Dhaki, was killed on the spot this evening when while working on a construction site, he inadvertently came in contact with a live wire.
The body of the deceased was shifted to mortuary room of Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) Jammu for postmortem while a case in this connection was registered at police station Channi and further investigations were underway.
Meanwhile, a man identified as Satpal (55) son of Sansar Chand, a resident of Miran Sahib, who was reportedly a PDD employee got injured when while changing jumper near MA stadium, he received severe electric shock, this morning.
He was shifted to GMCH for treatment, where his condition was stated to be stable till the last reports came in.
