JAMMU, Feb 21: One person was killed and another received critical injuries due to electrocution in Greater Kailash area of city outskirts.
According to police sources, Raju Din (24) son of Suleman, resident of Babe Majalata (Udhampur) was killed on the spot while another man namely Mohd Sadiq (25) son of Sheru, resident of Babe Majalta, received serious injuries after fall from an electric pole at Greater Kailash, following electrocution.
He said the deceased as well as injured person were employees of a private company engaged in PDD works. “The dead body was sent for postmortem in Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu while the injured man was also undergoing treatment there and his condition was stated to be critical till the last reports came in,” the official added.
Greater Kailash police had taken cognizance of the matter.
