Srinagar, Jan 18: Police today said a person was killed while another was injured in two separate road accidents in south Kashmir.
A police spokesman said an Alto car driven by Sajad Ahmad Nengroo hit and injured a pedestrian namely Noor Mohammad Deedad at Wagam in Pulwama district. “The injured was shifted to District Hospital Pulwama for treatment, where he succumbed to his injuries. Police have registered a case in this regard,” the spokesman said.
He said a vehicle bearing registration number JK18-6796 driven by Sajad Ahmad Bhat hit a motorcycle driven by Umar Reyaz Lone, resulting in injuries to the motorcyclist. “The injured was shifted to District Hospital Kulgam for treatment, wherefrom he was referred to Bone and Joints Hospital, Srinagar for further treatment. Police have registered a case in this regard,” the spokesman added.
