Srinagar, July 18: The conductor of an oil tanker today died while its driver got seriously injured after their vehicle plunged into a deep gorge near the Dubjan area on Mughal road in Shopian district.
Reports stated that the driver of the tanker lost control of his vehicle, bearing registration number JK01R3898 and as a result, the taker plunged into a gorge.
In the accident, conductor Neeraj Singh son of Galdari Kumar died on the spot while the driver Bhod Raj son of Mohan Chand sustained critical injuries. The official said that are said to be residents of the Doda district.
Soon after the accident, the injured driver was rushed to District Hospital Shopian wherefrom he was further referred to a Srinagar hospital where his condition is stated to be serious.
