JAMMU, Mar 16: One person was killed, while one other succumbed to his injuries here today.
Police spokesman said that, Kulwant Singh, son of Hari Singh of Village Hanjra, tehsil Nowshera was seriously injured, when the passenger auto (JK11-3842) he was driving turned turtle near village Thathi.
He was shifted to Sub-District Hospital and later referred to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where he failed to respond to the treatment and breathed his last.
The body was handed over to legal heirs after completion of legal formalities, while a case has been registered and investigation started.
Meanwhile, an accident victim identified as 75-year-old Khusi Ram, son of Gori Shankar, resident of Sainik Colony succumbed to his injuries at Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) here today.
He was shifted to GMC Hospital on March 7, after being hit by a motorcycle at Sainik Colony.
The body was handed over to family members after autopsy, while police has taken the cognizance.
