JAMMU, Mar 11: One person was killed and another got injured in a road accident in Khour area of Akhnoor.
According to a police official, a speeding Maruti 800 car this afternoon skidded off the road at Dehrian area of Khour, resulting into serious injuries to two occupants of the car who were identified as Manjeet Singh (21) son of Balwan Singh, resident of Kharota (Khour) and Narinder Kumar alias Jimmy (23) son of Dev Raj, resident of Chak Rama (Khour).
He said the injured persons were immediately rushed to Community Health Centre Khour where Manjeet was declared as brought dead by the doctors. “The body of the deceased was sent for postmortem while Khour police had taken cognizance of the matter,” the official added.
