JAMMU, Dec 21: One person was killed in a road mishap in RS Pura area of city outskirts late last night.
“A youth namely Ankush Sharma (31) son of Ashok Kumar, resident of Subash Nagar (Jammu), was killed on the spot while another young man namely Abhhisek Verma (18) son of Madan Lal, resident of Patoli Mangotrian (Jammu), sustained serious injuries when a bike on which they were travelling, rammed into a tractor trolley at Kotli Shah Daula,” a police official said.
The body of the deceased and the injured person was immediately shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu. After postmortem, the body of the deceased was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites while the injured person was responding to the treatment.
In this connection, a case FIR No 170 was registered at police station RS Pura and investigations started.
