SAMBA, Mar 11: A bike rider was killed in road mishap after his two-wheeler was hit by a car in front of Radha Swami Ashram at 17 Miles area of Vijaypur in district Samba today.
Police said the mishap took place this morning at Jammu -Pathankot National Highway in front of Radha Swami Ashram near 17 Miles under the jurisdiction of Vijaypur Police Station, when a car bearing Registration No HP80- 8400 moving towards Jammu from Samba on reaching near 17 Miles suddenly hit a motorcycle bearing Registration Number JK02AR- 8682, as result the bike rider receives critical injuries.
He was brought to Emergency Hospital, Vijaypur for treatment where doctor declared him as brought dead.
The body of the deceased was shifted to mortuary room of the Community Health Centre, Ramgarh for autopsy. After completion of the legal formalities the body of the deceased was handed over to its legal heirs for his last rites.
The deceased has been identified as Krishan Lal, 60, son of Daulat Ram, resident of Gho Manhasan Jammu.
In this regard, police has taken cognizance of the matter and started further investigations.
