One killed, nine injured in accidents

JAMMU, Dec 8: One person was killed, while nine others were injured in road accidents at different locations.
As per police sources, two persons were injured, when the Maruti car they were traveling in collided head on with a mini-bus near Malpur Doomi area, falling under the jurisdiction of Kanachack Police Station.
After getting information, police team rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to Sub District Hospital (SDH) Akhnoor, where doctors declared one of the injured identified as Shamsher Lal, son of Jagu Ram of Malpur Chandir as brought dead and referred another injured person namely Sunil Kumar, son of Jagtar Chand, a resident of Malpur Chandir to GMCH Jammu for advanced treatment.
The body of the deceased has been handed over to family members after completing legal formalities.
Meanwhile, eight persons were injured, when the tractor-trolley they were traveling on, rolled down near Kangar Morh area, falling under the jurisdiction of Gharota Police Station.
On getting information, a team from Gharota Police Station rushed to the spot and shifted the injured persons to SDH Bhalwal, from where all the injured injured persons were referred to GMCH Jammu for specialized treatment.
The injured have been identified as Hassam Din, son of Reham Din, Bagh Ali, son of Ghulam Rasool, Ghulam Ali, son of Mir Mohammad, Duddu, son of Mandi, all residents of Kanger, Ashwani Kumar, son of Girdhari Lal of Kot Bhalwal, Karamat Ali, Rakesh Kumar and Alam Din.
Cases under relevant Sections have been registered at Kanachack and Gharota Police Stations and investigation started.
