JAMMU, Sept 16: A woman was killed while a man was injured in a road accident at Bawe Talab area of city outskirts.
According to a police spokesperson, a bike-borne man identified as Kala Ram (42) and his pillion rider, Krishna Devi (55) wife of Prem Chand, a resident of Bathera were injured seriously when a without number Alto Car this morning hit their two-wheeler bearing registration number JK02BF-2195 on Jammu-Akhnoor Road near Bawe Talab.
The injured were immediately shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu, where Krishna Devi expired at about 1 pm while the condition of other victim was stated to be stable till the last reports came in.
The body of the deceased lady was shifted to mortuary room of the hospital for conducting postmortem tomorrow.
A case in this connection has been registered at police station Kanachak and further investigations started.
