JAMMU, June 8: A man was killed while another was injured in two separate road mishaps in city outskirts.
According to a police spokesman, a man identified as Ashok Sharma (48) son of Bindraban, resident of Kandoli (Nagrota) was killed on the spot when a bike on which he was travelling, was hit by an Army vehicle at Nagrota, late last night.
The body of the deceased was shifted to mortuary room of Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu and today after completing all medico-legal formalities, it was handed over to its legal heirs for last rites. The Nagrota police had registered a case in this connection and started investigations.
Meanwhile, a pedestrian identified as Jangu Basal (28) son of Jhadia, resident of Chattisgarh (at present Talab Tillo, Jammu) was hit and injured by an unknown vehicle at Talab Tillo. The injured was hospitalized while the concerned police had taken cognizance.
