KATHUA, May 9: One person was killed after his scooty was hit by a truck from back side on Jammu -Pathankot National Highway at Hiranagar this evening. The truck bearing registration number HR 3837088 was on way to Pathankot from Jammu.
The deceased person was identified as Tarseem Lal, 55, S/O Raghunath of Gurah Modian , Hiranagar .
He was shifted by police to SDH Hiranagar where doctors declared him as brought dead. The Hiranagar Police has seized the truck and registered the case against the driver who fled after the accident under the cover of darkness.
