JAMMU, Mar 26: A nine-year-old boy was killed today in a road mishap here near City Square.
According to a police spokesman, an unknown vehicle this evening hit and seriously injured a pedestrian identified as Jatin (9) son of Lezar, a resident of Christian Colony, opposite City Square falling within the limits of police station Nowabad.
On getting information, a police team reached the spot and rushed the injured boy to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where doctors declared him as brought dead. The body of the deceased was shifted to mortuary room of the hospital for conducting postmortem tomorrow.
In this connection, a case was registered at police station Nowabad and investigations started.
