One killed, six injured in road mishaps

JAMMU, Aug 19: One person was killed while six others were injured in road mishaps in the winter capital today.
As per reports, a motorcyclist Bachan Singh, son of Omkar Singh of Amar Colony Talab Tillo, was seriously injured when a tipper hit him near Chinore area.
He was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where doctors pronounced him as brought dead. The body was handed over to legal heirs after autopsy and a case has been registered by the police.
In another incident, six persons were injured, when the Tata mobile, they were traveling in, skidded off the road and rolled down at Pounichak area of the city outskirts.
Identified as Bagh Ali, son of Din Mohd of Bhagatpur, Sadiq, son of Saif Din of Rapar Jagir, Begum, wife of Noora of Bhagatpur, Khataza, wife of Noor Jamal of Kho Manhasa, Naqoob, son of Saif Din of Khanpur, Pounichak and Bano, wife of Yousuf of Rapar Jagir, were rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where they were responding to the treatment, when last reports came in.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered and investigation started.
Meanwhile, Munir Hussain, son of Mohd Shafi of Paloura, was found in an unconscious state near his native place. He was later shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where doctors declared him as brought dead.
