One killed, ten injured in road accidents

UDHAMPUR, Aug 10: One person was killed while 10 others were seriously injured in different road mishaps.
As per reports, a bus bearing registration number JK02F 0081 hit motorcycle coming from opposite direction, resulting into the grievous injuries to the motorcyclists.
Motorcyclists identified as Jugal Sharma, son of Hans Raj and Nitesh Khajuria, son of Devi Parsad Sharma, both resident of Garhi, Udhampur, were shifted to district hospital Udhampur. As the condition of Jugal Sharma, deteriorated further, he was referred to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where he succumbed to his injuries.
A case has been registered at Rehmbal police station, the driver of the bus arrested and investigation started.
In another accident, a Tempo Traveler (JK02R 5697) on way to Jammu from Kashmir collided head on with a tanker at Tamatar Morh, Kud, resulting into the injuries to six occupants of the Tempo Traveler.
All the injured namely Shahid Majil of Srinagar (driver of Tempo), Mushtaq Dar of Srinagar, Surestha of Samba, Mohinder Singh of Gurdaspur, Punjab, Rajinder Singh of Punjab and Saleem Jehangir of Pulwama, were shifted to sub-district hospital, Chennai, from where they were later shifted to district hospital Udhampur. The condition of all the injured was stated to be stable, when last reports came in.
Meanwhile, three persons were injured, when the Maruti car (JKO2AD 6911), they were traveling in collided head on with Bolero vehicle bearing registration number JK02AH 6066.
All the injured were shifted to district hospital Udhampur, where their condition was stated to be stable, when last reports poured in.
The injured were identified as Anil Verma, son of Girdhari Lal Verma, his wife Pawan Verma, resident of Rehari Jammu and Surekha Verma, wife of Tilak Raj of Jib, Udhampur.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered and police has taken the cognizance.
