One killed, two injured in accidents

RAMBAN, Apr 16: One person was killed, while two others including a minor boy received injuries in road accidents at different locations of the district.
As per police sources, a car bearing registration number JK19-1652 was on its way to Dhamkund from Ramban, when it fell into deep gorge near Kanga area on Ramban-Gool road, resulting into on the spot death of the driver.
After getting information, police team rushed to the spot and with the help of rescue teams retrieved the body of the deceased, who has been identified as Jagdish Singh (24), son of Suram Chand, a resident of Dhamkund.
The body of the deceased was shifted to District Hospital, where after conducting autopsy, it was handed over to legal heirs for last rites.
A case in this regard has been registered at Dhamkund police station and investigation started.
Meanwhile, a truck bearing registration number JK02G-2565 was on its way to Banihal from Chambalwas, when the driver lost control over the vehicle and it plunged into gorge near Shahbanwas, resulting into injuries to two persons including a minor.
The injured identified as Mohammad Amin (driver), son of Abdul Rashid and Yasir (12), both residents of Chambalwas were shifted to Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Banihal, from where they were later referred to a hospital in Srinagar.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Banihal police station and investigation started.
