One killed, two injured in accident

JAMMU, Nov 24: A man was killed, while two others received injured in two cars collision at Jagti area, falling under the jurisdiction of Nagrota police station.
As per police sources, during the intervening night of November 23 and 24, Maruti car bearing registration number JK14-3859 on its way from Udhampur to Jammu and Xylo car bearing registration number JK21A-6886 collided head on at Jagti. The collision was so potent that the Maruti car caught fire.
In the incident, three persons received injuries and were rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where one of them was declared dead by the doctors and two others were undergoing treatment, when reports last came in.
The body of the deceased identified as Pardeep Singh, son of Rajinder Singh of Jagti was handed over to family members after completing legal formalities.
The injured have been identified as Vidveer Singh, son of Rattan Singh of Udhampur and Chaman of Jagti.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Nagrota police station and investigation started.
