One killed, two injured in mishaps

KATHUA, Jan 31: One lady was killed while two children were injured in two road mishaps at Kathua and Samba district today.
As per reports a lady was killed while her six year old girl was injured after the duo was hit by a matador at Ramkot falling under the Billawar Police Station.
The woman was identified as Anju Devi, 30 W/o Sunil Kumar of Kandarloo Billawar while her daughter has been identified as six year old Parl Sharma. They were on their way from Nagrota Gujroo to their residence and after alighting from the matador at Ramkote they left for their village by foot. Meanwhile a matador that was returning from Sukrala Mata hit both mother and the child on the road.
They were taken to Billawar Hospital where doctors declared the lady as brought dead while the girl after being given first aid was discharged late in the evening.
The Ramkote Police has registered a case under the relevant Sections of the law. The police has also arrested the matador driver who was identified as Rakesh Kumar and his vehicle bearing number JK02AG 7832 was also seized.
In another accident A scooty bearing number JK21B 3316 rolled down near Barian Supwal in Samba district resulting into the injuries to a five year old child Jasmeet Singh, son of Surjit Singh of Chak Ramchand. He was taken to DH Samba where from doctors shifted him to GMC Jammu
