JAMMU, Feb 4: An elderly person was killed, while two others were injured in road accidents at different locations.
As per reports, 72-year-old Girdhari Lal, son of Gharvo Ram, a resident of Langer was walking along the road side near Greater Kailash, when a speedy Maruti A-Star car bearing registration number JK08B-4738 hit him.
On getting information, police rushed to the spot and shifted him to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where doctors pronounced him as brought dead.
The body was handed over to family members for last rites after completing legal formalities.
Meanwhile, 35-year-old Anita, wife of Ashok Kumar of Paloura was injured, when a car hit her near Patoli Morh, falling under the jurisdiction of Janipur police station.
She was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where her condition was stated to be stable, when last reports came in.
In another incident, Rajinder Dubey, son of Om Parkash Dubey of Bakshi Nagar was injured when the motorcycle he was riding was hit by a mini-bus at Jewel, falling under the jurisdiction of Nowabad police station.
He was rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where he was responding to the treatment, when last reports came in.
Cases under relevant Sections stands registered at concerned police station and investigation started.
