One more arrested for assaulting, injuring college students

JAMMU, Mar 8: One more accused has been arrested for assaulting and injuring students of GGM Science College.
As per police sources, some outsider youth entered into the hostel of GGM Science College at Canal Road and assaulted four students of the college with sharp edged weapon (khokri) yesterday.
In the attack, the students received injuries and were shifted to Government Hospital Sarwal and were later discharged after treatment.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Police Station Nowabad on the complaint of the Principal of the college and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, the main accused identified as Ashutosh Sharma, a resident of Nanak Nagar District Jammu was arrested. Today one more accused identified as Sangram Singh, son of Rakesh Singh, a resident of Bari Brahmana was also arrested. Sharp edged weapon used in the crime has also been seized.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team led by PSI Ishfaq Ahmed Incharge Police Post Canal Road Jammu made the arrests under the supervision of SHO Nowabad Inspector Rajesh Khajuria and DySP Headquarters Jammu Swati Sharma.
