JAMMU, Apr 16: One more person has been arrested for firing on the residence of a contractor in Gandhi Nagar area on April 3 this year.
With his arrest, total arrest in the firing case registered with Police Station Gandhi Nagar rises to six.
The identity of the arrested sixth accused was not ascertained when last reports were compiled.
As reported some unknown persons travelling in a car opened fire at the residence of contractor Choudhary Nagar Singh at Gandhi Nagar on April 3 night this year.
In the firing, no one was injured. However, the main gate of the house and a car bearing registration number HP38F-6187 suffered damage. Cartridges were also recovered from in and outside the residence of the contractor.
Further investigation into the case registered at Police Station Gandhi Nagar is going on and hunt is also going on to nab the associates of the arrested persons.
The arrest was made by SHO Gandhi Nagar Inspector Bharat Sharma under the supervision of SDPO South PK Mengi, SP South Deepak Digra and SSP Jammu Chandan Kohli.
