BHADERWAH, Apr 7: Police has taken one more notorious drug peddler into preventive custody and lodged him in District Jail Bhaderwah here today.
As per police sources, a number of complaints were received at Police Station Bhaderwah regarding involvement of a notorious drug paddler namely Tarun Kotwal, son of Shiv Kumar Kotwal of Haveli Mohallah in drugs peddling in Bhaderwah town and its peripheries.
Acting upon the complaint, a detailed report of his involvement in drug peddling was prepared and a team of Police Station Bhaderwah led by SHO Inspector Jatinder Singh Rakwal arrested the notorious drug peddler.
He was produced before the Executive Magistrate 1st Class Bhaderwah, who sent him to District Jail Bhaderwah under preventive detention.
It is pertinent to mention here that in the last one month, Bhaderwah police has booked 9 notorious drug paddlers in preventive detention.
