JAMMU, Apr 23: One person was murdered in village Najot of Malhar in Billawar tehsil of Kathua district late last night by some unknown persons.
He has been identified as Dharam Chand, 42, son of Chaino Ram of village Najot, Malhar. Reports said that some unknown persons attacked him late last night when he had gone to the residence of some other villager and he died on spot. The Billawar police has however rounded up three suspects in this regard for questioning. They included a woman also on whose residence the slain person had reportedly gone.
The Billawar police has registered a case under Section 302 and 109 IPC and started investigation. The body of deceased has been handed over to the family members by the Police today after autopsy at Sub District Hospital Billawar for last rites.
